Ahmad Daouk
Ahmad al-Daouk (1892-1979) (in Arabic أحمد الداعوق) was a Lebanese politician who on two occasions became Prime Minister of Lebanon. The first time was during the French Mandate when, after having served as Secretary of State for Public Works and Post Telephone and Telegraph (PTT) earlier in 1941, he was appointed Lebanese PM serving from 1 December 1941 to 26 July 1942 during the rule of President Alfred Naqqache (transliterated also as Alfred Georges Naccache). He was also Minister of Finance in his own cabinet. From 1944 to 1958, he was in the Lebanese diplomatic mission in France including starting from 1953 until 1958. Returning to Lebanon, he was appointed as Lebanese prime Minister during President Fuad Chehab's rule for two-and-a-half months serving from 14 May to 1 August 1960. In addition to his top post, he was also Minister of National Defense in his own cabinet. ==References==
